Compare QBE Travel Insurance |
When you are choosing your insurance provider, be sure that you have everything in writing to state what you are covered for. Here are some simple tips on what to look out for when checking different travel insurance plans and policies |
Compare excess |
An excess is the first amount of a claim that the insurer will not pay for. Most travel insurance companies include an excess on their policies. Excesses can range from $100 to $200 depending on the travel plan. ou can purchase a $NIL excess for an additional premium. When comparing travel insurance policies make sure you are comparing like for like excess levels.
With the QBE International and Annual travel plans you can choose the excess level that suits you. The higher the excess, the lower the premium. |
Emergency assistance |
QBE Assist has a team of highly trained medical and insurance specialists ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to help travellers in the event of an accident, illness or mishap during their travel.
Travellers can rest assured knowing that QBE's emergency assistance is co-ordinated by QBE's own staff and systems, unlike many travel insurance providers who outsource their emergency assistance and leave customers to deal with staff from a third party company in their time of need. |
Compare cancellation policies |
You've probably paid a lot of money for your trip, the last thing you want to be left with is cancellation fees if something happens and you can no longer travel.
There are an infinite number of reasons you may need to cancel a trip. Maybe a family member becomes ill or something happens to you. For any travel insurance compare the cancellation section of your policy carefully. Cheap family travel insurance does not always guarantee quality.
